Basic-2 course is for dogs that want to further develop obedience after Basic-1. Much attention is paid to the owner-dog relationship. Through exercises you build on the foundation of mutual communication. You learn to recognize stress in your dog and prevent problems. By raising your dog, the dog gets the right place in the family and you have a companion for life.

There is always time to ask questions after the lessons. An individual appointment is made for solving specific problems. Lessons are given in small groups. Having a look in advance is possible. Just send us an e-mail to let us know you’d like to come.

Walking is fun for people and dogs. At least it should be. But what if dogs have to walk on a leash and then don’t have the freedom and space to investigate their environment through sniffing. Often dogs will pull on the leash in order to try to get to what they are interested in as fast as possible. Is walking (on a leash) still fun for both of you?

During the Walking on the Line workshop, the emphasis is on the contact between owner and dog. You will learn to look at the different scenarios that cause pulling on the leash. Let your dog know that his closeness is very much appreciated. And how close? Does that only apply on a leash? How can you strengthen the relationship that is necessary to be close to each other? Because walking is ‘doing together’. Also on a leash.

The lessons are given on the dog training field in small groups.

wandel je wijs | obedient dog walks

With Obedient Dog Walks we go out with a group of dogs (max 6) to a forest, beach or park. Walking but now in a public area. So there are also other dogs running loose!

The goal is to travel together. The basic obedience is first learned on the dog training field. Now we move on to practice. Walk on a leash, teach him to stay with you when he walks loose, and play fetch or even hide & seek games in between. For example, have him look for a ball under the leaves, ask him to jump over a fallen tree. Your dog likes to go out with you and stays close by. There is always something fun to do. The walk is fun for both of you!

The lessons last about 1½ hours and are given in public areas in and around Wassenaar.

hierkomen op fluit | recall on whistle

Recall on Whistle signal is ideal for dogs that take some distance when they walk. No more yelling at your dog but just whistle and he will return straight to you.

Of course, first learn the basic obedience on the dog field. Calling your dog heeere! is part of the Basic courses. Recall on whistle is a sequel to this. An extra way to get your dog to come back if you want. Handy if it’s windy on the beach, your dog hears the whistle easily.

We train on the fenced dog training field. You do most of the work at home because it takes some time for your dog to automatically respond to the whistle. In the end you will be rewarded for your efforts: your dog runs loose and comes right back when you whistle him back. YES!

The lessons are given on the (fenced off) dog field and forest area in small groups.
